Introductory Day

This is it, this is where it all begins, 3-2-1 and you’re air born! The 6-hour day will teach you the basics about the equipment and how to prepare it for flight, how to launch the glider, control it, and stop it. Then we will go to the Smiley face for training!

PG1 Course – Beginner

The PG1 course is all about Launching, Flying, and Landing your paraglider ! This will give you a “feel” for the sport. Youll complete your first real flights, and learn many other essential skills about Paragliding.

PG2 Course – Full Pilot

This course will teach you to become an independent pilot who is competent, relaxed and therefore safe, so you will enjoy all that paragliding has to offer for years to come.

We feel fortunate to have chosen Infinity Paragliding to pursue learning the art & craft of paragliding. Chris & Jason worked with us through both the PG1 & PG2 imparting their knowledge, mindset and love for the sport onto us. Both of them are passionate about creating a learning environment that pushed us to become better pilots in all facets, from meteorology to understanding flight rules & landing approaches to the nuances in how to induce & correct wing dynamics. There’s so much to know and learn- I feel as though we’ve only scratched the surface. We’re definitely hooked and are really looking forward to future training and SIV courses with these guys. We feel fortunate to have met many likeminded pilots through the school, and look forward to seeing where the journey takes us. I completed my paragliding pilot’s license at Infinity Paragliding in Queenstown. What an awesome place to learn surrounded by mountains and lakes. Chris, Jason, and Oli are excellent teachers that focused on theory (including meteorology), safety, technique, and most importantly decision making. Their calm and clear instruction and top-notch training equipment made the time learning to fly feel safe and natural. I recommend Infinity Paragliding to anyone that is interested learning the sport.

I recently completed a 3 day SIV course with Infinity Paragliding, and am so thankful to Chris for turning me into a more confident pilot. Infinity provides the highest calibre of teaching in a fun, safe and calm environment, and Chris was extremely attentive to tailoring the course and his instruction to each pilot’s needs and comfort. His wealth of expertise was evident throughout the course, teaching us tons of valuable theory each day through individual and group discussions and detailed video debriefs of our flights. Highly recommend Infinity to anyone wanting to pursue this sport!

Came here as a visiting pilot to get an induction for Coronet Peak and to do a little refresher as I hadn‘t been flying in the mountains in a while. Chris and the team did a great job, the standard of the flight school is really high. I ended up not only refreshing and improving my skills, but also learning a lot of additional techniques.I had some trouble with my own wing and was able to borrow a wing from them. I can absolutely recommend to do your license here or to come here as a visiting pilot.Thanks a lot, Chris, Jason and Oli! We had a great time! 🪂
